Saturday left Visalia, CA and drove to Sequoia National Park. It was cloudy, with a steady light rain but we still saw the General Sherman and General Grant trees, then had a long beautiful drive through the park. Saturday night we stayed in Oakhurst , CA so we could get up and drive to Yosemite on Sunday morning. Yosemite was cloudy and cold, but no rain. Despite the weather it was still a beautiful day. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to the northern rim, it hasn't opened yet, but with all the rain the falls were really flowing!

Left Yosemite and drove over the Oakland Bridge into
San Francisco, CA. Stopped for an espresso and oh my a See's Chocolate shop was right next door, may as well have a chocolate to go with our coffee!! We love See's chocolates! After the coffee stop we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge to drive along the coast to a town called Bodega Bay, where we were going to spend the night!

Monday morning we left Bodega Bay and drove up CA 1 along the coast, what a beautiful drive! Then over to US 101 to get to the Redwood National Park. Along the way we saw a sign in Leggett, CA, to come drive through a redwood tree, so we decided why not stop and check it out. Then we got back on the road but it was getting late so we only had time for one short stop at Lady Bird Johnson's area before we decided it was time to stop for the night in Crescent City, CA.
