Tuesday, we left Crescent City and took a short drive to see another stand of Redwood trees before getting back on the scenic road to Crater Lake. We were shocked to see the snow mounds all around the area of Crater Lake. The upper rim was still closed so we went to the visitor center and then walked up a small snow bank to view the lake.

After Crater Lake we took a beautiful drive on
the Volcanic Legacy Oregon Scenic Byway
Stopped in Bend, OR for the night and then continued
on another scenic drive just 22 miles north to Sisters, OR.
Had to stop in the quilt shop for a quick look see!
After Sisters we continued on our scenic drive
along the Santiam Pass to go to McMinnville, OR for
our over night stop.

Ahhh, what do you know another
quilt shop! Some nice ladies at our hotel
told us about it! I had been there before on my girl trip to
Oregon! A really nice shop!
Before dinner we decided we needed
to stop in the R. Stuart & Co. for a glass
of Pinot Noir--that was a really good
idea too! Delicious wine!!
Beautiful little towns. And grapes mean wine, right?
